Mr. Johnson has spent over 30 years counseling clients on contracts involving commercially insured risks and developing a national insurance litigation practice focused on complex catastrophic property losses and major liability claims that challenge the commercial businesses of this country. He consistently wins insurance coverage disputes under numerous types of coverages and at the highest level of insured risk.
As lead trial counsel, Mr. Johnson has repeatedly won cases in Georgia and in more than 25 other states. His trial experience involves winning at trial and through appeal in the highest state courts and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits. He has been retained in hundreds of multi-million dollar insurance disputes across the country and for insured loss occurring overseas. His understanding of insured risk contracts and the related policy coverages applies across the commercial risk spectrum.
